"And yes, recreating assets from scratch will likely mean there will be less fighters." Do you work at Namco to confirm this statement from either Harada or Michael Murray? Just curious buddy, before you start putting out misinformation already. And you can't even say jack shit about the reasoning why Tekken 4 didn't sell well, because there really is no other reasoning, other than the fact that it has a small roster, dumbass.□ And you really have the nerve to bring up Tekken Tag 1, where it sold VERY SUCCESSFULLY in the PS2, because not only did they update the graphics and have that game be the first 3D genre of a Tag game, but it also consists of a large roster because of all the playable fighters in the past are all together. "Tekken didn't have large rosters at that point." Motherfucker, I literally said already that majority of the Tekken games, other than really 4, always has a large roster count. That's just not how it works buddy, lmfao.□ So no, don't think that having a small roster would mean most of those characters will come in DLC. And if that's the case, the final roster of Tekken 8 will be around 40, if not, less than that! That's literally a whole base roster worth of characters alone, which given as the final roster of the game by it's complete life cycle, that's still not much. They've always had a large roster since the 2nd Tekken game was made, so why on earth should Tekken 8 be any different? You have to keep in mind that each game only has a few season passes too, so at the very most, you can get up to 20 DLC fighters in total (and that's including not just returning fighters, but Guest Fighters, and possibly newcomer DLC's as well). My dude, this ain't Street Fighter that they've ALWAYS had a small base roster, but they end up with either re-releases of the same game, but with more content, or with additional season pass DLC's.
